Who are we?
We would like to introduce you to, A Cup of Cold Water Ministries, Inc., founded in July of 2004. Jesus put in our hearts to begin this ministry, after fifteen years of serving Him in America, Eastern Europe, and recently in Honduras. ACOCW Ministries, Inc. is legally registered in Honduras, as a non-profit organization. Our representative, Pastor Marco Contreras and his wife Elida, began a church in the area of El Banano six years ago, and have begun building a church building for the congregation, that has grown in this past year from 50 people to around 500 people. In the area, there are church meetings in three locations during the week and on Sunday all meet together on the church property. With the help of our church, Lindale A/G, new property was purchased in 2007 to build new homes for at least 30 very poor families. Four homes have been built so far, each home costs $4,500. Our vision is to complete the church building and the remaining 26 new homes in El Banano, provide a bus for the church, win souls, make disciples, plant new churches, assist in getting a school and clinic in the area, train pastors, and leaders, feed and clothe the poor, and preach the gospel to all nations. Please join with us in the work at El Banano, Honduras, in prayer and giving. God has called us to go into all nations and make disciples of them. Working together as one body, in Jesus Christ, we can fulfill the great commission. “Go then and make disciples of all the nations …” Matthew 28:19
ACOCW Ministries is a certified non-profit 501(c)(3) organization .

The church building is coming along. We now have a sound structure with the roof trusses up and are waiting for the funds to add the metal roof pieces. We need 66 of them at $77 each. To date we have received the funds for 17 of them. We also need to put the floor, windows, doors, and other things to make it a beautiful place for worship to the Lord. The people began under a mango tree, moved to a brush arbor covering, then to a metal covering, and now they wait for the church to be finished to have a real sanctuary for worship. The church building can be used for a multitude of functions in the community of El Banano, so we need to see this project done pronto. Please help if you can!! All donations are tax deductible sent to A Cup of Cold Wather Ministries, P.O. Box 16961, Houston, TX 77222. God bless and keep you all. We are overjoyed to serve the Lord!!
The fourth home was just built in El Banano. The people are so excited to have a real house, not sticks and pieces of garbage stuck together with odds and ends of materials. Generations of people living in poverty is a cycle that we would like to see changed in El Banano. Please help to build a house for the poor. the cost of one home is $4500. Could you build a house in America for that? Absolutely not, every dollar given to our ministry goes to the people for their provision. We use none of the money for our own living expenses. We give it all to the poor. Be a part of planting a church and a community at El Banano, Honduras. You will be abundantly blessed by God. He never overlooks the givng of his children. Everything you give comes back to you one hundred fold. God bless you!!
