A Cup of Cold Water Church of El Banano, Honduras has a new roof and floor. The people are worshiping there and it has become the community school of the children!! Thanks to God and our faithful partners!

This is where the congregation is now worshiping even though it doesn't have a roof. We need to finish this church asap before the rainy season. Please pray with us for that to happen soon!! God is able to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philpp. 4:19

What must I do to be saved?

A Cup of Cold Water Ministries desires to share the gospel with the world, to bring as many people into the kingdom of God in these last days, as possible. If you haven’t gotten to know Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, today is the day to do it.

RED ALERT!!! JESUS IS COMING, ARE YOU READY!!!

If you don’t know it, Jesus Christ has promised to come back for the church, that is all those who believe in Him. (1 Thess. 4:13-18) You must believe in your heart, completely trust, make Him Lord of everything in your life. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is the Son of God and repent from your sins, because the Bible says “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) Jesus died to save us all from the punishment of our sins in hell, He took it all upon Himself on the cross. Because He was the last blood sacrifice on the cross, we are forgiven of every sin past, present, and future! That’s not all, He has died and has risen from the dead and now lives seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven. (Romans 10:9, Heb. 1:3)

Jesus said that we must be born of the spirit through the new birth experience, to be saved, in order to enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:3-5) After we believe that He is our Savior, we are born again with a new spirit, the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus returns, the Bible tells us that He will come at the sound of a trumpet blast and in the twinkle of an eye we (all believers) will rise up to meet Him in the air. Some out of the grave who have already died and those who are born again and are still alive will leave this earth immediately and be with Him in Heaven in our new glorified bodies.(1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

For those left behind, it will be the worst time on the face of the earth. Imagine, people will disappear right in front of your eyes, if you are one who is left behind!. What if your plane or train or bus is being driven by someone taken to heaven. What is going to happen to you?

If you haven’t confessed Jesus as your Lord and Savior, when you die you will enter into the gates of hell for all eternity. That is the worst thing that could happen to anyone.

Am I trying to scare you? The truth is not always pleasant; it is a very frightening event that is going to happen, so it should scare you, if you are not ready. The good news is there is a way to escape eternal death and have eternal life, which I have told you about previously.

If you were on an airplane and the stewardess handed you a parachute and told you if you put it on you would arrive safely at your destination, but if you didn’t put it on, you would die, would you put it on?  The Gospel message of Salvation is just that simple. If you receive Jesus as your Savior you live eternally, if you don’t you die eternally!!

Confession of one’s faith is simple, but in order to be born again it must be a way of life with complete trust in Jesus as Lord and Master of your life, in otherwords He has to be everything to you. If you would like to know Jesus Christ as your Savior today, just pray this prayer with me and He will give you a new spirit.

Heavenly Father, I come to you with sorrow in my heart and a broken spirit and confess to you I am a sinner. I have not done what is right in my life and want to accept you as my Savior and receive forgiveness of all my sins. I believe that You are the Son of God and have died for my sins and have risen from the dead and are seated at the right hand of God right now. I believe that You came to save me and to give me eternal life. I receive that promise today through Salvation. Please Lord help me each day to walk with You according to Your word. To love You first and love all others as You do. In Jesus name. Amen.

Who are we?

We would like to introduce you to, A Cup of Cold Water Ministries, Inc., founded in July of 2004. Jesus put in our hearts to begin this ministry, after fifteen years of serving Him in America, Eastern Europe, and recently in Honduras. ACOCW Ministries, Inc. is legally registered in Honduras, as a non-profit organization. Our representative, Pastor Marco Contreras and his wife Elida, began a church in the area of El Banano six years ago, and have begun building a church building for the congregation, that has grown in this past year from 50 people to around 500 people. In the area, there are church meetings in three locations during the week and on Sunday all meet together on the church property. With the help of our church, Lindale A/G, new property was purchased in 2007 to build new homes for at least 30 very poor families. Four homes have been built so far, each home costs $4,500. Our vision is to complete the church building and the remaining 26 new homes in El Banano, provide a bus for the church, win souls, make disciples, plant new churches, assist in getting a school and clinic in the area, train pastors, and leaders, feed and clothe the poor, and preach the gospel to all nations. Please join with us in the work at El Banano, Honduras, in prayer and giving. God has called us to go into all nations and make disciples of them. Working together as one body, in Jesus Christ, we can fulfill the great commission. “Go then and make disciples of all the nations …” Matthew 28:19
